MY STORY:
Manila House

Hi, I’m Mike, thank you for visiting!

My entrepreneurial journey began in the densest and poorest part of Manila (Philippines), where I grew up above the tiny restaurant that my mom owned, planting the seed for my late-blooming entrepreneurial drive. At age 11, my family moved to South Central Los Angeles, where my father served as a cop at LAPD and my mother sold drugs (pharmacist).

Growing up, I learned that classroom lectures were not my learning style. So entering my senior year of high school, I had a cumulative .8 GPA (point eight!). And yes, I’m Asian! Despite my academic struggles I graduated and squeezed 4 years of college into 6, though I never made a career out of what I majored in.

In my mid 20’s, I stumbled into residential sales and discovered that even though I didn’t have the prototype charming used car salesman personality, having a fierce commitment to serve (instead of sell), with unwavering integrity and world class excellence—made me the #1 sales rep at the two companies I worked at long term, by God’s grace.

My obsession for efficiency and systematization got me promoted to be a Sales Manager, where I successfully managed 50+ reps for a decade. By focusing on servant leadership, I discovered my God-given superpowers:

  • Fostering long term client-employee relationships.
  • Creating and protecting a positive company culture.
  • Continuously optimizing operational efficiencies.
  • Implementing industry best practices.
  • Maximizing marketing + sales = growth.
  • Significantly increasing my employee’s income.

The above will also be my overall plan post-acquisition.

In 2019, I deep dived into business acquisitions & transitions. Through extensive research, I mapped out all the pitfalls and legal landmines that derail deals, enabling me to help guide transactions toward a successful close as well as transition with the highest probability of success. For the last year+, I also immersed myself in studying the accounting industry, full time.

With capital committed and strong lending relationships secured, I’m prepared to move quickly on the right opportunity where there’s mutual alignment. If this resonates with you, and you’ve been considering selling your firm, call or text me (888-973-5394) and let’s schedule a brief 10 min call to explore your options and see if we might just have a mutual fit.

On a personal note: I now call Gilbert, AZ home with my beautiful wife (26 yrs), daughter (22) and son (20). My life outside of work is enriched by simple pleasures—coffee dates with my wife, watching my kids grow up to be impressively amazing adults, living the simple & healthy life (biohacker), praying for my enemies, 80’s music, emotional healing, shooting hoops, throwing football and creating AI versions of myself in an AI office.

P.S. Know someone who’s looking to sell their firm? I offer a $10,000 referral fee upon the deal’s successful closing.
